Hedges of natural trees or shrubs.

Properly organized, well-groomed hedges adorn any area. They serve as a kind of green walls, screens and partitions. Most of the hedges are more protected area from prying eyes and unauthorized visits, decorate fences or outbuildings, separate section of the territory into functional areas, are purely decorative role fringing lawn or garden paths emphasizing line. Less thinking about planting a hedge in order to improve the microclimate of the garden or protect it from dust and gas pollution and noise.

Hedges are multifunctional and therefore very varied — they may be one-or two-and three-row, emerging grown from a thorn or thornless plants. For planting hedges using both coniferous and deciduous plants, which may, in turn, be evergreen and deciduous. The range of plants for hedges is large enough and consistent with few simple rules: preferred plants with small leaves and high grown ability, a natural plant height should be relevant to the desired height of the fence, evading plants to intensive formation of rootstocks in this case is seen as a negative feature. Flowering shrubs should be used for not cut hedges as shearing most floriferous shoots removed. Plants should be resistant to local conditions.

Depending on the purpose of planting hedges are high or tapestry — over six feet, medium — from one to two meters high and the low or borders — from fifty centimeters to one meter.

To hedge was decorative, but did not seem shaggy bushes near the section of the sprawling and clog it's important to make a landing and forming (especially in the first three years) plants. Initially should stock up enough planting material at the rate of 3 plants per 1 running meter for single-row hedges, 5 plants — for two-row and 8 plants — for the three-lane. If later on the fence will be a haircut, then, how well did not look planted plants should be required immediately to hold their pruning at 20 cm from the ground. This stimulates the growth of shoots from the base of the plant, which makes it possible to avoid the subsequent stripping the hedge bottom.

In the second year in the spring of hedge haircut at 5 cm, and again in the summer leaving no more than 20 cm of growth of shoots. In the next 3 years haircut spend under this scheme, and then maintain the desired height of the fence. It is important that hedge bottom was a bit wider than the top. In this case, the branches do not shade the bottom, which contributes to a green wall on the ground.

Deciduous plants cut one's hair in early spring before the leaves, and then from 1 to 3 times during the summer. Conifers grow somewhat more slowly and are therefore quite trim in late April and late September.

Unshaped natural hedges are not subject to haircuts, but they must be regularly fed, watering and, if necessary, remove the dried branches. Note that the unshaped hedges planted on the better-lit places where plants grow well and bloom profusely.
